There I saw the world
As my fingers made it twirled.
Round and round it goes
And with a single poke, it haults.
I could travel with my fingers
While my globe twists and turns.
But, travelling won’t be the same
If I were really there,
With my feet glued to the earth.
But I will not worry. Not a hint
Maybe someday, God will lend me
A boat or a plane
Just to show me
What the world really is:
That my beloved planet
is not soley made of plastic
Not like my globe
Whom I always keep.
Many times I’ve planned on quitting. Not just in life, but on many specific things as well.
There were days when I wanted to stop schooling because it’s becoming too pressuring for me. There were times when I wanted to walk away from people I call friends because of intense envy. I couldn’t count the moments when I wanted to disown my family for the bizarre stuff they do. My mental calendar is marked with days when I wanted to just end my life, just end my journey.
But I don’t know.
Maybe that’s the thing about love. It glues you together stronger than anything. It will make you stay, even if all you want to do is bid your goodbyes.
And because of Love, I decided to stay. The decision wasn’t solely mine. I mean, I couldn’t even love myself, what more love someone else!
This is where God…

She holds the pen when others go rest
Her mind works when the clock strikes twelve
In the evening she is a poet
And in the dark,
She lays the noises quiet
All her life, she pretended no to write
To play fool and act like she doesn’t mind.
But when the sun sinks,
Her true passions glow.
She lets magic and logic flow
From the pen that she holds then throws
Then all at once,
God sees them all
And one day,
Plans to spill them all
The poems, the stories, the essays – all of it
Until the evening poet
Learns to never quit.
Someday, she will never be afraid.
She’ll be on the parade-

And I know it’s a tragedy. BUT I was busy.
The word “busy” is an excuse when you don’t do what you’re supposed to be doing because all you want to do is sleep.
OR, “busy” could also be a substitute for “I’m feeling lazy”.
And I want to make a confession. I really wasn’t busy. Not that I didn’t have anything good to be done, in fact, I had a lot of great things to be done. But life, under the eyes of a 17 year-old, may sometimes look like a puzzle beyond solution. It’s a confusing thing to arrange and the thought of starting is as…

Hello. I am now a registered voter. 🙂
October 28, 2015 | Getting lost under someone’s gaze is way better than finding yourself tangled and lost in an almost-never-ending line at Ayala Center Cebu, all for the love of being registered in the coming 2016 National Elections.
But, hey! The efforts are all worth it.
The waiting, the process of enduring that mean guy who kept on pressing my older sister for her number, the hunger, the thirst, the humidity, the boredom, all paid off because in the end of the day, I got both my thumbs tinted in blue ink.
You know what; I’ve lived long enough in this country to know what ‘poor’ means. Lived 17 years to experience what it is to be lost under the hands of poverty and corruption. To be clueless of where your parent’s taxes are going. To feel cheated after voting for…
